Dynamic Transform

User Interface

Selecting a body and clicking on the dynamic transform tool button opens up a small dialog box and indicates which body is being worked on. The tool is a simple tool that allows some basic re-orientation of the bodies in the file. By checking the corresponding box in the column labeled 'lock' prevents transformation in that dimension. It is recommended that only the translate, rotate or scale are enabled at any given time since behavior will otherwise be erratic.
The dynamic behavior is only initiated if one of the dimensions is unlocked and the Shift key is held down while the left mouse button is pressed and the mouse moved to appropriately move the body.
The display is updated as the body is transformed, though performance issues can arise with larger files in which case a direct transformation (using the input versions of translate/rotate/scale) is recommended.
Note that the transformations like other changes, cannot be undone and the files need to be reloaded to undo modifications.
